The term “April showers bring May flowers,” is truly about enduring a little difficulty to receive your just rewards, which is certainly true. But sometimes that reward can bring about severe consequences. In Florida for example, the April abundance brings about biting flies, and although the critters (e.g., birds, frogs, etc.) need these foul creatures, they make May a month for doing inside activities. But when we do get out early in the morning – before the flies awaken – the month of May does allow us to reap the bounty of April via the first tomatoes, blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries are ready for harvest. Every hardship will undoubtedly give way to better times, which is why we have the other classic: “Every cloud has a silver lining.”
