Not only is the “8-year itch” a factor in modern politics, but the two Democratic Party candidates have way too much baggage to beat any of the mainstream Republican Party candidates who were running. Hillary Clinton’s reputation among the electorate and the weariness of having Bill Clinton serve a third term is too strong for her to have a legitimate chance against either of the “real” candidates remaining: John Kasich or Marco Rubio (Albeit Ted Cruz does have a slight chance, I don’t consider him a “legitimate candidate” this term – probably a Vice President slot. Ben Carson “doesn’t have a snowballs chance in…”). Although the majority of the Industrialized World have embraced socialistic ideas (e.g., universal health care), our independent attitudes in the U.S.A. would never allow us to embrace Bernie Sanders, a self-declared socialist.
If Donald Trump is nominated by the Republican Party, we will see the biggest landslide election since Ronald Regan defeated Walter Mondale in 1980. The left will flock to the banner and the center will vote for anybody who is NOT Trump, just to ensure his fingers never get on the nuclear codes, where he could say, “You’re fired!” What will be left is about 30% of the U.S.A. voting population comprised of a bunch of rich whiners who don’t wish to pay their fair share of taxes, and people who are so angry and belligerent that they can’t possibly think straight.
This isn’t the first time that the media has interfered with an election. Ross Perot was the golden child of the media in 1992. He was a fringe candidate that attracted a lot of attention from the media and he eventually made a third-party run for the Presidency and was responsible for the election of Bill Clinton. If it weren’t a conspiracy, why aren’t we hearing about another billionaire’s, Michael Bloomberg’s, run for president? Answer: He would take votes from the Democrat’s nomination…
